Day 1 Kalpitiya
Ayubowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka! Arrive at Katunayake airport and transfer to your hotel in Kalpitiya. Known for its natural environment, Kalpitiya consists of 14 islands and is developing as a tourist destination.

Day 2 Sigirya / Habrana
Enjoy a packed breakfast and leave early morning for Wilpattu for a 4-hour jeep safari. Next, we leave for Sigiriya or Habarana, which is home to vibrantly decorated cave-temples and a great base to explore the wide array of natural wonders and historic sites in this area. On route, you can stop in Hiriwaduna and spend time with villagers, experiencing local life including a bullock cart ride, catamaran and local food.

Day 3 Sigirya / Habrana
To avoid the long lines, we will explore the legendary Sigiriya rock fortress early in the morning. An ancient royal abode built into solid rock, Sigiriya is the most visited site in Sri Lanka and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the magnificent frescoes, gardens with natural caves and ruins of the royal palace on top of the rock. In the afternoon, continue to Minneriya National Park/ Kaudulla/ Eco park for an exciting jeep safari. The park is known for its large elephant population.

Day 4 Sigirya / Habrana
After breakfast, drive to visit Polonnaruwa, which was the island’s capital during 11th and 12th centuries. Afterwards, proceed to Passikudah, famous for delicious seafood, heart-warming smiles and beach parties with bonfires and great music. Passikudah has become an escape from the bustling crowds of the city with many resorts and boutique hotels popping up on its beautiful coast. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 Passikudah
Spend the day at your own pace, exploring the nearby beach or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 6 Kandy
Today, we begin travelling south into the heart of Sri Lanka. On route to Kandy, stop at the legendary Dambulla Caves. The Buddhist temple is a UNESCO world heritage site, on top of a rock, and consists of five caves. Next, visit Matale, where we will explore a spice garden. Continue to Kandy and check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit Temple of the Tooth Relic, home to the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dālada) of the Buddha, which is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists; and the Royal Palace of the Kandyan Kingdom which lies tucked away near the valleys of Kandy as a remnant of the last Kandyan King. Later, we watch a cultural show.

Day 7 Galle
Travel to Galle. In the afternoon visit Galle Fort. Evening at leisure.

Day 8 Departure
Today is the last day of the tour. Depending on your departure flight, you can visit Colombo and take a personalised walk through the Old city – an unforgettable experience with a local host who will take you through the picturesque streets of the Fort and the mayhem of Pettah. Later, we leave for the airport for the departure flight.
