Dear Industry Colleagues

Welcome to another edition of the award-winning 'Creatively Yours'.

We are in the most exciting part of the year as the peak travel season is at its onset. The seasonal flavours and festivities of these months attract thousands of tourists to India and the subcontinent, every year. And we are happy to be facilitating their immersive journeys across the region.

The last few months have brought in prestigious honours for our company. We are proud to have been recognised as India’s leading tour operator and tour agent as well as South Asia’s leading tour operator by the distinguished South Asian Travel Awards (SATA). The Government of India further honoured us as the best MICE operator in the country with a National Tourism Award. We couldn’t have done this without your support and love, and the dedication of our teams. So, thank you to each one of you.

With the holiday season coming up, we are gearing up to welcome visitors on our specially-crafted journeys. From Yoga retreats in the South to beach holidays in Goa, winter is a great time to witness the diversity of India. You can read more about these curated journeys, brought together by our Crafted by Creative brand, here.

Read on for the top travel stories from the Indian subcontinent – a stunning new airport in the Himalayan state of Sikkim, helicopter-taxis out of Mumbai, a luxury cruise in Varanasi, and new hotels in Nepal and Maldives.

Best Regards,
Take care,

Have a Creative Day!

FESTIVAL ALERT

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

I have realised that I have forgotten to write to you to say 'thank-you' for the services of Creative Travel. At the end of January I came to India as Team Leader for a group of Rotarians involved in the polio NID project. We should have been carrying out the immunisation at Bhiwadi, but this was changed at short notice to Gurgaon. However, we had to stay at our hotel in Bhiwadi and commute to Gurgaon. This was my fourth trip to India, and on each occasion our stay has been arranged by Creative Travel, and on each occasion I have come home feeling very happy and impressed with the service we've had from Creative Travel.

In addition to this, I have been fortunate to have Mr Jaspal Singh as our Guide on this trip and also on previous occasions. As Team Leader we sometimes encounter problems or issues which require delicate handling or clear communication. With Jaspal's invaluable help we overcame such issues whilst remaining civil and respectful.

One example was when we visited a town to carry out immunisation, but our hosts seemed to be more interested in an endless circuit of photographs. We weren't getting anywhere and time was ticking away. Jaspal explained our frustrations to our hosts without offending them, after which the project moved forward and our team managed to immunise a few hundred children during the day.

In addition to this, Jaspal has been so enthusiastic about the Eradicate Polio project that he became part of the team and immunised many children. He has helped me in many ways, and has strengthened my confidence wherever we have gone. Many of the team members have come to rely on Jaspal for assistance and advice, and many of us now count him as a friend.

He's an excellent ambassador for Creative Travel. I've been meaning to write to you since I came home, and I apologise for the delay. If I visit India again I will use Creative, and if Jaspal is available I would always ask for him.
