Creative Travel is headed by Ram Kohli as Chairman & Managing Director
of the company.
For almost 40 years, Kohli has served unofficially as the travel industry
ambassador for India. Kohliís career began after college graduation, when he
joined one of Indiaís largest travel organizations, the Travel Corp. of India
(TCI). Kohliís keen abilities won him the opportunity to open the first TCI
office in Germany, increasing the companyís presence in key European markets by
300 percent. He repeated this performance in New York, creating a new market in
the United States for India as a destination, promoting the first charters from
America in 1972. Returning to India in 1976, he founded Creative Travel, one of
the most quality conscious companies in the field.
Ram has been

attributed to a vision of one man.
In April 2004, at the 53rd Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)
Annual Conference in South Korea, Ram took over as Chairman 2004 /
2005 of this illustrious organization. Ram is the third India ever in
PATAís 53 year history to hold this post. He steps into this role
after two successful terms as elected Secretary-Treasurer and then
Chairman-elect of the association.
Mr. Kohli has contributed much to the industry through his board-level
involvement in numerous organisations, including PATA, SKAL, the PATA
India Chapter, American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) India Chapter
and the South American Travel Agents Association (COTAL).
In 1999 he was awarded the PATA Chairmanís Award, granted to a single
individual each year. In the history of PATA, he is only the second
Indian to have received this honour. Mr. Kohli was also recognised by
the government of Nepal for his efforts in tourism promotion and

YearĒ by the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), the most
powerful travel trade organization in North America.
