Welcome to another edition of "Creatively Yours"
the newsletter from Creative Travel India

Dear Industry Colleagues :

Welcome to a whole new look of Creatively Yours. We have been sending out this mailer for over two years and we thought why not do a small redesign. Do you like it ? Is it easier to read ? Click on our feedback button below and let us know what you think.

The Indian accounting year ended on March 31 and so all of us are now back to the start if I may say so. This past season had mixed reactions from hotels and other partners in the trade. For some it was great, for some it was not. Overall, we at Creative had a successful season and we want to thank all our partners for their support to us. Some of the finest travel companies from all over the world have placed their trust in us and we hold that trust sacred. Your reputation is our reputation.

We also thought we would share an interesting article on weddings in India and how the internet is changing the way Indians are finding their soul mates. See that in the Destination News section.

Going back to India and the summer. There is a lot of misconception out there why India cannot be visited in summer. Not all true. There is a lot one can do in summer and the best part is that we can leverage our volumes from the season into some great deals into the off season.

We at Creative Travel and our specialist brands - "Signature Tours" , the luxury travel specialist and "Plan it!", the finest conference management team in India are proud to offer the best of India and her neighboring countries to the discerning traveler. With a 29 year award winning history behind us, we look forward to the opportunity of showing you what true destination management is all about.

Holi at Creative
The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over 'bad'. The colorful festival bridges the social gap and renew sweet relationships. On this day, people hug and wish each other 'Happy Holi'. Holi celebration begins with lighting up of bonfire on the Holi eve. Numerous legends & stories associated with Holi celebration makes the festival more exuberant and vivid. People rub 'gulal' and 'abeer' on each others' faces and cheer up saying, "bura na maano Holi hai". Holi also gives a wonderful chance to send blessings and love to dear ones wrapped in a special Holi gift.

The team at Creative had a grand time smearing each other with the colors of happiness. Here are a few pictures...

India in the Summer...

Going back to India and the summer. There is a lot of misconception out there why India cannot be visited in summer. Not all true. There is a lot one can do in summer and the best part is that we can leverage our volumes from the season into some great deals into the off season.

Some reasons to visit India in the Summer include -

  • The best value possible - you get to stay in some of the finest hotels in the world at prices that you would pay for a 4 star hotel in the winter.

  • For wildlife lovers, late April and May are the best times of year to see the famous Indian tiger. This elusive animal stays closer to the water during this time, and is more easily seen.

  • It’s cooler than you think! Particularly in the desert regions of Rajasthan, the peak heat is between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, when you could relax and enjoy the hotel. Sightseeing can be done in relative comfort in the early mornings and the evenings. The Indian summer is not hotter than many other destinations that you would consider in the summer months - Dubai, Spain, Miami, etc.

  • Enjoy the monuments without the crowds - you have the luxury of visiting the monuments in the cities you visit, without having hundreds of tour buses present at the same time.

  • Enjoy the hotels - with lower summer occupancies, you can enjoy the hotels to their fullest. Use the spa without having to book it in advance, step into the restaurants without a reservation, have the pool to yourself.....

If you would like to explore how we can help you make India a special destination to sell this summer, let us know. We have some amazing deals from our partners like the Taj group and Oberoi hotels and many more.

From - John Greengrass

To - Rajeev Kohli

Dear Mr Kohli

2nd to 15th March 2008

I and my wife have recently completed a trip organised by yourselves. I was first met in Delhi by Sanjay who was in contact with us throughout.

I cannot commend the services of your company and staff with praise high enough to justify the efforts that you and your team must have made to make our holiday so enjoyable and trouble free.

Each of your reps and correspondent reps were on time and did everything they could to help us. The guides were informative and knowledgeable, the driver (Harish) could not have been better, and it was especially pleasing that he was able to stay with us for the entire two week period. He made us feel safe and secure at all times.

I wanted to write to let you know this and that when we travel again to India we will hopefully be able to use your services again.

Kind regards

John Greengrass

New York, Paris & Vancouver complete the list. Its “Why Go” to Mumbai section, reads “No one comes to Mumbai for rest and relaxation. Brash, chaotic and glitzy, first impressions of the city tend to be dominated by its chronic shortage of space. In short, this Indian gem offers all the excitement you could ever wish for.”
