Rajasthan to improve intra-state air connectivity to boost tourism

Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Chief Minister of Rajasthan during her inaugural address at the 49th annual Convention of Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) last evening in Jaipur said that creating right infrastructure and improving connectivity within the state are her government's priorities. Conceding that travel within the state is time consuming especially for tourists, she said that state government has partnered with Pawan Hans to connect all districts by air.

Informing the delegates that her government is about to announce a revised Tourism Policy for the state, the Chief Minister said the new policy will take care of the bottlenecks currently experienced by investors on land availability, land use conversions, etc. Spelling out strategies for tourism, Scindia said that long term sustainability is the key for tourism and with this objective the government will be focusing on protection and preservation of heritage structures, especially in regions like Bharatpur, Bikaner and Udaipur.
